Bloomfield Hills Andover High School

Mike is probably the best known swimming coach in the great lakes area.  His boys swimming teams have won 7 State Championships and his girls teams 6 State Championships.  He has been named Coach of the Year 11 times for both boys and girls and Mid-West Regional Coach of the Year twice by the National Coaches Association.  His boys swim record is 317 and 76 and the girls is 120 and 27.  He is a graduate of Indiana State University where he received his B.A. degree and Wayne State University for his M.A. degree.  He was the NAIA National Diving champion in 1965.  He has served on several swimming organizations as well as holding the office of president.  His daughter Angie is swimming coach at the Bloomfield Hills Middle School.  Mike and his wife Kathy have four children.  He has 30 years as a coach.
