William (Bill) Maskill

Bill has served over 40 years and has coached football and baseball.  He has been the winningest high school football coach in Michigan for over 20 years.  He has an outstanding football record of 273 W, 84 L &2 T.  He also served as the director of athletics for 26 years.  He retired from teaching in 1984 but continued to coach till 1991.  He has been a member of the M.H.S.C.A, for 35 years.  Bill is a graduate of Michigan State University where he participated in football.  He is a member of the Lions club of Galesburg and the Michigan State Alumni Club.  He also served on the football committee for the Michigan H.S. Athletic Association.
Bill has a son Billy in the coaching profession, coaching football at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.  His daughter Jayne is a professional therapist in Kalamazoo.  Bill has often been referred to as the Dean of Michigan High School Football Coaches.
