James Lahmann

      New Lothrop High School

James Lahmann enters the Michigan High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame with 49 years of coaching experience across a number of sports and levels. His coaching ranges from 6th grade to varsity level. He has enjoyed success in each of these coaching experiences and has received Coach of the Year honors in both football and softball. Additionally, he is a member of both the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame and the Michigan High School Softball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

     In addition to his coaching honors James has worked extensively throughout the community. He has served on several city and village councils and is also a School Board Member for Salem Lutheran School. James has also worked as a district, regional and state honors selection committee.

     James is described as being “outgoing, ambitious and energetic” who is extremely dedicated, putting all he has into any task he takes up. He is held in the highest regard amongst his colleagues and athletes building relationships through respect and fairness. James is best known for his “no quit” attitude and has instilled it into all those who he has worked with.
