Bob Czarnecki

      Trenton High School

Bob Czarnecki enters the Michigan High School Coaches Hall of Fame after 38 years of coaching. During his tenure he coached at West Maple Middle School and Crowley High School Louisiana with a  88-14 win loss record before returning to his home town of Trenton where he has been coaching since 1991. While at Trenton he coached the team to 7 League Championships, a Regional Championship and 13 Play-Off Appearances.  Bob has won many coaching awards including Louisiana High School State Coach of the Year, News Herald Coach of the year 11 times, and was inducted into the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2015.

In the classroom and on the field, Bob has never shied away from helping and growing anyone who needs help. This can be seen in his career at THS – he lost his first 19 games as a coach, and since has set school records for wins and just completed an undefeated regular season. Along with turning around the school’s program, Bob also mentored and taught young, new coaches and players.

“For some coaches there is only the season and preparation for the season. For Bob, it is caring about kids, it is about the way he lives hi life with a genuine respect for each person. His understated style and personal humility does not diminish his desire to win.” Bob is deeply committed to his faith and family and has modeled these characteristics. He never loses sight of the fact that his players are students learning from the example he models for them.
